Happy LOVE Day!!

It was so nice having Valentine's Day on a Sunday this year. We were able to spend the whole day together as a family. That morning Audrey and Aaron made breakfast, which featured the first heart-shaped food of the day, pancakes.

Audrey's Valentine!!

Making heart-shaped pancakes with Daddy.

Yummy!! Breakfast is served! Audrey ate every meal that day on her new, heart-shaped plate.

After we finished eating a yummy breakfast, Audrey helped Mommy make heart-shaped sugar cookies.
While the cookies were baking, Audrey did an art project with Daddy. She decorated a heart-shaped frame with different colored paints. For lunch, we had heart-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches of course.
Before going down for a nap, Audrey decorated her heart-shaped sugar cookies with pink sprinkles and M&Ms. I think most of the M&Ms ended up in her mouth instead of on the cookies.
That night, Audrey had a heart-shaped quesadilla for dinner...
...and enjoyed one of her heart-shaped sugar cookies for dessert.
Grandma and Grandpa Love came over so that Mommy and Daddy could go out for a nice dinner at the San Joaquin Country Club. Aaron's brother is the head chef there, and the food that was prepared was delicious. Getting away for a couple of hours with my man was the perfect way to end the evening on the day of LOVE.

We really wanted to get a picture at dinner, but I totally forgot. Me and my Valentine of 11 years!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him!!! xoxoxoxo

San Francisco

For Christmas, my parents gave us a two-night stay in San Francisco and included child care as well. So for Aaron's birthday, my birthday, and Valentine's Day, we decided to take our trip to San Francisco and celebrate. It was so nice to be able to get away for the weekend. We left on Saturday morning, dropped Audrey off at Nani and Papa's house, and drove to Pleasanton. We parked our car there and took the BART into the big city. Our hotel was right in the middle of Union Square, a great location. We were able to walk to most of our destinations. Saturday night we enjoyed a nice dinner together and then went to another restaurant to split a huge ice cream sundae. We slept in on Sunday, grabbed a delicious brunch with my cousin and her husband, and then watched the Super Bowl with some good friends of ours. On Monday, before we left, we took the trolley down to the wharf for some clam chowder and Ghirardelli chocolate. I could not leave without getting some Ghirardelli ice cream! Aaron and I had a wonderful weekend together, but we were also ready to get home to our little girl. Thank you Mom and Dad for such a great gift!!

Two for the cable car, which actually broke down about three quarters of the way through. Left us with memories and a great story.

Feeding the Ducks

With the weather being so beautiful yesterday, we decided to take a trip to Woodward Park to feed the ducks, watch the doggies play, and spend some time on the playground. Audrey was not so interested in feeding the ducks. Instead she wanted to throw rocks and sticks into the water...and sometimes at the ducks too. I think there was one time that she picked up ducky poop and threw it. Yucky! What did surprise me was how brave she was. You know how the geese just swarm around you, well Audrey could care less. She was waving and saying "hi" just inches from their beaks. At one point she took a swat at one of the goose's neck. I told Aaron she was lucky that goose didn't retaliate. We didn't spend much time with the ducks or the doggies, Audrey really wanted to go to the playground. However, she was disappointed when she didn't see any swings. Her absolute favorite thing to do is to swing. All in all, it was a great day at the park for us!!

Looking cute comes so easy for this little girl.

Feeding the geese...kind of.

These geese don't scare me! No fear.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

Last Friday was Aaron's birthday!! Audrey and I spent the whole day doing little things to show Daddy how much we love him. That morning we went to the store to pick up a few more things that we needed in order to complete our projects for the day. When we got home, Audrey and I spent a little time signing cards for Daddy. It is so funny watching Audrey scribble out what she wants to say. At one point I asked her what she wanted to say to Daddy on his birthday. Guess what her response was? "Cupcakes!!" Then I asked her what else she wanted Mommy to write to Daddy and she put her arms out as far as they can reach and said, "Awwwwww, much!!" Which she does when we ask her how much she loves us. How cute is that? After signing the cards for Daddy, together we made some very yummy cupcakes. When Audrey got up from her nap that afternoon, we worked on a special art project, just for Daddy. She painted a very pretty picture and then placed her hand print on it as the finishing touch. When we were at the art store, she picked out the two different colors of purple...her favorite color, of course. That night we met Daddy for dinner, and Audrey gave Aaron a balloon with his favorite candy bar tied at the bottom. Finally, when we got home from dinner, we sang "Happy Birthday to Daddy!" The perfect ending to a perfect day. Happy Birthday, Daddy!! We love you, awwwwwwww much...more than you will ever know! xoxoxoxoxo

Just a taste to see if it's yummy.

Cleaning up.

Look at the determination on her face!

Snow fun with friends!!

On Sunday, we went to the snow to celebrate Gabi's 2nd birthday. Audrey had so much fun playing in the snow with her friends. Although, she did spend a majority of her time eating the snow and not really playing in it. It's still really difficult for her to walk around in the snow, and I think she might have been a little crabby that day. But, she was perfectly content being carried by Daddy and occasionally getting a handful of cold fluff to munch on. After a picnic lunch in the parking lot, singing "Happy Birthday" to Gabi, and eating a delicious cupcake (her favorite!!), Audrey was about ready to go home. When we got in the car, within three minutes, Audrey was asleep. The fun filled day had wiped her out!!

Feeding the Horses

Last Saturday night, Aaron's parents invited us out to their house for dinner to celebrate Aaron's and Aaron's dad's birthday. Before heading inside for the night to celebrate, we took a walk to the neighbors to feed their horses. Audrey loved it! She is still talking about it today. Once she saw how it was done, she wanted to feed the horses all by herself. There were a couple of times we had to remind her to let go of the food that she was feeding them. Those horses were munching quickly and I saw how big their teeth were. They could have easily mistaken Audrey's fingers for carrots. Thank you "Da-ma" and "Dam-pa" for a great experience with the horseys!

6 months

As of last Friday, I am six months along! I am feeling great and just love, love, love the feeling of a little one moving around inside my tummy. With every movement is the reminder of how amazing God's creation is. Life. What a precious blessing. Aaron and I can't even wrap our minds around how the Lord works and just how He is able to make everything so perfect in order for an invisible speck to grow into a little baby. As my baby bump continues to grow, we anxiously await the arrival of baby Love and can't wait to meet our son or daughter.

My lovely baby bump at 20 weeks pregnant.
