toy story 3

A couple of weeks ago, Aaron and I took Audrey to the movie theater for the first time to see Toy Story 3. She is a big fan of the first Toy Story, so we knew she would enjoy watching the familiar characters, Buzz and Woody, up on the big screen. We were amazed that she sat the entire time! As soon as the movie was over, she asked when we would bring her back to watch another one. We can't wait to do it again!!

Audrey anxiously holding on to her ticket!

She wanted to hand the ticket to "the yady(lady)" all by herself.

Audrey sat in her very own seat, right between Daddy...

...and Mommy!

Audrey already LOVES "poptorn", but she had never had movie popcorn before. We gave her a little cup that we had to keep refilling because she just couldn't get enough.

madison - two months

We are enjoying every minute with our baby girl, Madison! We are so thankful that Daddy and I are home for the summer to have fun with our two little ones and to watch as they change and grow. Madison turned 2 months old on July 15th. Her cheeks are chunking up and she definitely has rolls on her arms and legs. We LOVE it!! She is smiling all the time and tells us really great stories. Madison sleeps really well through the night, only waking up one time to eat. During the day, when she isn't eating or sleeping, Madison likes to lay on her Baby Einstein mat and talk to "Mr. Star". She kicks her legs and moves her arms all around, completely out of control. When Madison hears familiar voices or recognizes familiar faces, she lights up with the biggest smile. What's so special, is we think that Audrey has received the most smiles from Madison. Precious.

We get the most smiles from Madison when she is laying on her changing table, looking up at us.

Bath time!

When Madison was 8 weeks old, Audrey gave her her first bottle. Audrey was such a proud big sister and wanted to do it all by herself.

Big smile from our precious, baby girl.

circus

What a treat!! A couple weeks ago, Papa bought three tickets for the circus so that we could take Audrey for the first time. Just Daddy, Mommy, and Audrey! When the show began and the lights went out, Audrey was a little nervous and not so sure about what was going on. It didn't take long for her to enjoy the bright lights, the loud music, and all the action that was taking place right before our eyes. For two hours, Audrey watched the "gymnastics", the clowns, the "vroom-vrooms", the elephants, and so much more. It was very busy and almost exhausting to watch. Audrey barely made it home before falling asleep. Mommy and Daddy had a great time seeing the circus in an entirely different way...through the beautiful eyes of our two and a half year old! Thank you, Papa!!

All the action!

She loved every minute of it...well almost every minute of it. Two hours is a long time for a two year old. : )

fourth of july

We celebrated the fourth of July while camping in Pismo with our closest friends and their families. We ate a large breakfast together, then spent the rest of the morning decorating our campsite with Fourth of July decor. Once the kids were up from their afternoon naps, we packed our bags and walked to a wonderful park to play and eat a picnic dinner. A couple hours later, we returned to our campsite, changed the kids into their pajamas, and waited for it to get dark. Around 8:30pm, we walked down to the beach to watch the fireworks shoot off from the pier in Pismo. It was a very, very late night for Audrey, but so much fun and the perfect way to celebrate the holiday!!

camping in pismo

For the past three years, to celebrate the fourth of July, we have taken our travel trailer over to Pismo Beach to camp with four other families, the Derksens, Esajians, Sundgrens, and Watts. That's 10 adults and 11 children (5 years old and younger). It is a little crazy, but so much fun!!

Our first day in Pismo, Audrey enjoyed the cool weather and the sandy beach.

At our campsite, there was a small park where Audrey played in the sand.

Just down the street from our campsite was a large park for the kids to play at.

Madison is all smiles!!

Beach bum! She LOVES it!!!

Mmmmmmm...SMORES!!!

There is a sweet little story behind this swing. When Audrey was 4 months old, we went to Pismo Beach over Spring Break for a family vacation. We walked down to the beach and found a swing for Audrey to sit in while we took her picture. Two years later, here is Audrey in the same exact swing. What a big girl!!

Feetsies!!

Audrey discovered how much fun it is to lean back so that she can swing upside down.
