madison - 5 months

Madison is five months old!! She is starting to explore with her hands more and more, like grabbing for faces, pulling on hair, and reaching for toys. Once Madison has accomplished her goal of getting a hold of something, she does her best to get it to her mouth so that she can suck on it. Lately, Madison has really enjoyed sitting up on Mommy or Daddy's lap, with support of course. She loves to see what is going on around her! I think she really likes to watch her big sister, Audrey, who is always very entertaining. Madison rolled from her tummy to her back weeks ago, and she is very close to rolling over from her back to her tummy. For now, she likes to lie on her back and roll from side to side, while holding on to one of her favorite toys and making sweet baby sounds. Just before Madison turned five months old, we decided it was time to be done with the swaddle. The day we unswaddled her, she found two fingers to suck on and ever since then, those two fingers have worked as a "binky". This could be the reason why Madison is now sleeping from 7:30pm until 7:30am...12 hours straight...thank you, thank you, thank you baby girl!!

big fresno fair

Just like last year, we took a trip to the Big Fresno Fair with Nani and Papa, and, the Tatum family. After arriving, we immediately made our way to the large play ground area for the little ones. They spent almost two hours sliding down slides, running across bridges, and climbing through tunnels. At some point they took a quick break for a corn dog and french fries. After they were done at the play ground, we went to see the animals, which is always a favorite. Although milking a plastic cow and shoveling hay can be a ton of fun, Audrey absolutely loved riding on a real pony for the first time ever. Before leaving, we had to grab a yummy, fresh cinnamon roll for dessert. Thank you, Nani and Papa, for another memorable experience at the big, big, big, big, big, Fresno Fair!!

grandma and pop

Last weekend, we took a drive to Vallejo to spend the day with two very important people in our lives, Grandma and Pop. Grandma and Pop were so excited to see us and couldn't wait to meet Madison for the first time. They thought Madison was just beautiful and such a sweet, baby girl. Audrey had so much fun playing outside, eating grapes with Grandma, and looking for the black kitty-cat, Mister. We had lunch together, the girls took their afternoon naps, and then it was already time for us to head home. Although it was a short trip, we are so thankful that we got to visit with Grandma and Pop. We love them so much and sure wish that they lived closer!!
