Abby's 1st Birthday Party

Last Saturday, family and friends got together to celebrate our little niece, Abby Tatum. She turns 1 tomorrow! It is crazy how fast a year has gone by. I remember rushing to the hospital with Audrey, because Abby decided to come three weeks early. I also remember seeing the little one for the first time in the nursery and then being able to hold her. She was so tiny! Now, she is not so tiny. She has got some chunkiness going on that I just love. Abby is such an even-tempered baby. She goes with the flow and most of the time is in her own world. I love how sweet she is. When you hold her she likes to grab your face and snuggle in close. I am so lucky to be able to watch Abby every Friday so that I can get some one-on-one time to love on her. Just looking at precious Abby brings joy to your heart and a smile to your face. We love our Abby girl!

Labor Day

Growing up, our Labor Days were almost always spent at Millerton Lake on our family's ski boat. But now that we have lots of little ones running around, spending an entire day on the lake is exhausting. A couple of years ago my parents put a pool in their back yard, so we have been celebrating the holiday with yummy b.b.q. and swimming ever since. This year the weather was perfect, which also meant that the pool water was a bit chilly. A few of the kids were in it anyways. But, the event of the evening was when the DeManbys brought out their miniature bounce house. What a hit!! It was so fun to watch all of our children jumping, rolling around, and taking each other out. Very entertaining for everyone there. We had such a great time with such wonderful friends. It's always a perfect way to end the summer!  : )

Almost all of our little monkeys! Gabi and Molly missed the two second photo opportunity.
Bouncy-bouncy!

How sweet! Kiley is helping Audrey jump.

 What?

Abby was not so sure about the bounce house. She chose to watch from the side.

Slumber Party

Audrey had her first slumber party last Friday night! Our niece, Maci, came over to spend the night. Aaron and I had so much fun watching the two of them play together so nicely. I don't think we ever heard the words, "no mines", come out of Audrey's mouth. She was so good about sharing her toys and wanted Maci to follow her everywhere. They played dress up, took a bubble bath, read some books to each other, and they were both in bed and asleep by 7:30pm. Audrey was the first one up in the morning and when we told her that she had to be quiet because Maci was still sleeping, she walked around telling us, "shhhh, Maci nigh-nigh". When both girls were up, they watched the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together and then ate breakfast. Before too long, Aunty Kyla and Uncle Todd were at our house to pick up Maci. Audrey was very sad to see her Maci go, but we hope to have her over again very soon!!

Look at these movie stars!

At bubble bath time we had to give the girls a "do".

The girls reading stories to each other. Audrey's pick was The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Maci chose Are You My Mother?
