Zoo Fun

Because we are on spring break and the weather has been so nice, we thought going to the zoo one day this week would be a lot of fun. Yesterday, while Daddy was at home doing some painting, Audrey, Nani, and I met some friends for some fun at the zoo. My sister was there with Kaleb and Abby, Cherie came with Aubrey Rose, and Stacy and her two girls also met up with us. There were only a couple of times that we were rained on, but we really stayed pretty dry and loved that it wasn't too crowded. The kids had so much fun running around together and checking out all of the animals. Audrey had a great time and would love to do it again very soon!!

Feeding the giraffe is one of Audrey's favorite things to do at the zoo. The closer she can get, the better. This time we got to pet the giraffe's nose. When we were told that the giraffe had a baby in her tummy just like Mommy, Audrey smiled really big.

How cute are these kids?! Later that night when we were praying, Audrey named each and every one of these little ones...Aubrey Rose, Livy, Syd, Audrey, and Kaleb (Abby was kicking back in her stroller).

"Choo-Choo" to Hanford

Audrey loves "choo-choo" trains!! A few weeks ago, Aaron took Audrey down to the train station so that she could see the trains come and go. When they were there, she really wanted to get on one of the trains and go for a ride. So we decided that it was time to take a train ride with our little girl very soon.

Yesterday at 5:oopm, we arrived at the Fresno train station and purchased our round-trip tickets to Hanford.

It was really hard for Audrey to stand still and pose for a picture, because she was so excited.

As soon as Audrey saw the train coming, she screamed at the top of her lungs.

Audrey and Daddy standing in front of the train we took to Hanford.

Audrey picking out her seat next to the window.

Holding her very own ticket!
Handing her ticket to "the man".

When we got to Hanford, we took the short walk to Superior Dairy for some yummy ice cream.

Little did we know that ordering one scoop of strawberry ice cream, really meant that we were getting a bowl with seriously five scoops. It was ridiculous!!!

But it was so good!!

Snowboarding with Daddy

Last Sunday, Audrey and I took the trip up to Sierra Summit with Aaron to watch him snowboard and to play in the snow a little bit. The weather was absolutely perfect!!! We didn't have to wear many layers at all. In fact all I had on was a long sleeved shirt and a pair of snow pants. It was the perfect day to play with Audrey in the snow. As soon as we got there, Daddy quickly went to get a couple of runs in while Audrey and I walked around and watched the people around us. She, once again, spent most of her time eating the snow. When Daddy returned, we took Audrey sledding a few times before eating lunch. Aaron went off to snowboard some more, and I watched Audrey throw snow balls with some kids who were playing close by. By 2:00pm, we were headed down the mountain and Audrey was sound asleep in the back seat. What a fun day we had with Daddy, and I know he enjoyed it too!!

Audrey rode in the wagon along with all the other stuff we packed for the day.

Sledding all by herself was so much fun!

7 month belly bump

I am actually really late on posting this picture, because as of this Friday, we will be 8 months pregnant!!! We only have 8 weeks left, which is just crazy. Time has gone by so quickly. I am feeling really good, I love being pregnant, and I really love being able to feel our little one move around in my tummy. We still do not know what we are having, but we are pretty sure we have names picked out. If this little one is a boy, his name will be Braden Grant, and if Audrey is going to have a baby sister, her name will be Madison Grace. We are all looking forward to meeting our tiny miracle and being able to hold him/her for the first time.

Dressing Herself

The other day, Audrey decided to dress herself. She picked out exactly what she wanted to wear, including her "sparkly shoes", and then she accessorized with an orange bow. Too cute!!

DISNEYLAND!!!

Last weekend, Aaron had a conference to attend that just happened to be a mile from Disneyland. Because almost all of our expenses were covered, we decided to go a day early and take Audrey to Disneyland for the first time. Aaron and I served at our church's thrift store, Neighborhood Thrift, and received two one-day passes to the park. And, since Audrey is under 3 years old, she got in for free as well. The best part about the entire day at the happiest place on earth, was watching the awe and wonder in Audrey's eyes as she met many of the Disney characters for the first time. I think Aaron and I missed most of what was going on around us because we were looking at Audrey's face light up as she discovered all the magic around her. Needless to say, our first trip to Disneyland with Audrey is one we will always remember!!

Our family picture at the entrance into the happiest place on earth! It was a pretty wet day, so we bundled up in our warm clothes and rain boots, and we always had Daddy's large umbrella handy.

Entering the castle into Fantasyland.

Audrey's very first ride at Disneyland, Peter Pan's Flight. She was feeling a little uncertain.

Audrey loved riding the horseys!!

Flying high with Dumbo and Daddy!

Audrey's first time on the ride, "It's a Small World", which ended up being her favorite. She loves when Daddy and I sing the song with her.

Oh, Minnie! Audrey just loved seeing Minnie Mouse for the first time. She took a picture with all of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters, but Minnie was her absolute favorite. We bought her a tiny Minnie as a souvenir that she carried around the entire day. Now, Minnie sleeps with Audrey every night.

She is so happy!!

And, of course, Mickey was a character she loved too!

Ok, so check out the huge bump on Audrey's forehead in this picture. She tripped and fell right into a cement bench. I was freaking out!! After frantically searching for a bag of ice and placing it on her head for awhile, I was able to calm down. It could have been so much worse!! She was only sad for a brief amount of time, then it was off to Toontown for some fun.

Trying to catch a nap with Minnie before the parade.

Audrey LOVES choo-choo trains!!

The three of us riding on the choo-choo train around the park, trying to stay dry in the temporary torrential rains.

By the end of the night, we had one more ride to get on before heading home...the cars. Yep! Just as we sat down and buckled up, the rain came. Of course, it was the one time we forgot to grab our umbrella. Oh well, we had fun anyways!!

Here we all are, trying to get through the ride as quickly as possible. Drive, Daddy, drive!!!

"It's a Small World", one last time before making our way to the exit.

And, what better way to end the day than with a big large cup of ice cream.

Out!! Before we had even gotten on the bus to go back to our hotel.

The next evening, we went to Downtown Disney for some dinner and entertainment. This is Audrey sitting in the big letter "A" of the California Adventure sign. You know, "A" for Audrey!

Sitting on the gorilla's lap at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney.

Cheese!!

I just had to include this picture. Audrey, for whatever reason, loves to eat lemons. We just love watching the faces she makes when she eats them.
