beach house

For the past five summers, we have rented a beach house for a week in Rio Del Mar. This year, we had a full house!! Besides our family of four, my parents, Aaron's parents, and my sister and her family of four all stayed at the beach house for the week. We also had Aaron's brother as a guest for a couple of days. Needless to say, it was crazy at times but we had a lot of fun!!

As I have mentioned before, Audrey loves the beach! So, having it as her front yard was a dream come true. Every day we were on the beach playing in the sand or putting our toes in the water!

Daddy, Kaleb, Audrey, Abby, and Papa running from the waves.

The house that we rented has a bbq pit out on the front patio. We had bonfires every night and definitely ate a Smore or two.

Madison was too tiny to hang out at the beach, but I think she was pretty happy being held and loved on as much as she was.

At some point during our vacation, Aaron likes to go golfing. When Daddy goes golfing, the girls head to Capitola for lunch and sometimes some shopping too.

Madison got a bath in the sink for the first time, but she was a little unsure about it.

Every time Audrey wears this swimsuit we sing the song,"She wore an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, yellow poke-a-dot bikini..."

Did I say she loves the sand? Look at her!!

Nani and Madison...twins!

We like to spend one day in Santa Cruz to play in the sand some more and, of course, ride some rides at the Boardwalk. Audrey felt so proud that she was able to ride the rides all by herself.

Audrey and Kaleb...they're on a boat!

Poor baby tried really hard to move the lever so that her dragon would go up high in the sky. She spent most of her time cruising down low.

Grandpa and Grandma riding on the carousel with Audrey.

Madison enjoyed watching all the action from her car seat.

You can't leave the Boardwalk before eating some yummy Dippin' Dots!

We also took a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a day.
