madison - 6 months

Madison is all smiles and laughs at six months old! It's only when Mommy or Daddy leave the room that you might hear a little whimper or cry come from our sweet little one. And, when others hold her, she definitely keeps an eye on Mommy or Daddy to make sure we are close by. Madison is sitting up all by herself!! Well at least for a few minutes before slowly hunching forward, falling to the side, then rolling over to her back. We quickly sit her back up so she can try again. Playing in her activity seat is ok for a short amount of time, but Madison loves the freedom of being able to roll around on the floor. She especially likes it when one of us is down on the floor with her, reading books, playing with toys, or snuggling face to face. I think she prefers her big sister! We can't believe that Madison is half way to becoming one year old!! Every second we get, we love on our precious "sissy girl".

Madison had her first taste of rice cereal this month. She wasn't quite sure what was going on at first. When I brought the spoonful of warm cereal to her mouth, Madison leaned forward and then waited. I gently wiggled the spoon into her mouth and she did her best to eat the cereal, but I think her tongue got in the way just a little bit.

We think she liked the rice cereal...she finished the entire bowl!!

We put Madison in Audrey's swing for the first time and she loved it! Audrey had just as much fun pushing her little sister..."gently".
